About This Course

This undergraduate degree programme at Birmingham City University is for international students who have completed Year 11/12 of high school in their own country¹.

• Stage 1 (International Foundation Year): a balanced programme of English Language, study skills and academic subjects to prepare international students for undergraduate admission. This stage is taught at Birmingham City University International College.
• Stage 2 (Degree: Year 1): this stage is taught at Birmingham City University International College or Birmingham City University, depending on your chosen subject.
• Stage 3 (Degree: Years 2-3): taught at Birmingham City University and leading to selected Bachelor's degrees in Psychology, including BSc Psychology.

Note: Students studying this programme will benefit from a single integrated student visa, provided they can demonstrate an English level of IELTS 5.5 (5.5 all skills) or equivalent. That means you will not have to renew your visa when you progress from one stage to the next.

Admission Requirements

Academic	Foundation Course (Two Semesters) Completion of high school with good grades, equivalent to 5 IGCSE passes (at least 3 C grades and no more than one E grade). For progression to MEng/MSci degrees, B average with C in Maths.
	Foundation Course (One Semester) Completion of high school plus one year of further study, for example AS Level or a University Foundation Course.
English	IELTS 5.5 (5.5 all skills) or equivalent. A wide range of English qualifications is accepted, including some high school English qualifications.
Minimum Age	Minimum age 17 years (at start of course).
