Frequently Asked Questions

What personal data do we collect about you?

When you register for a student account with us, we collect your name, gender, date of birth, nationality and email address. If you complete your profile or apply for a course on our database, we also collect data about your academic and English qualifications, your parents (if you are under 18), your financial sponsor, your immigration history and any disabilities or medical conditions that may require special facilities.

How do we use your personal data?

We use the personal data you give us to provide advice on the most appropriate course for your study needs, to prepare applications to our partner institutions on your behalf and to assist with aspects of your admission, such as accommodation booking and your student visa application.

Who do we share your personal data with?

When you submit an application to one of our partner institutions, we will share your personal data with that institution in order for them to assess your suitability for the course you applied for. Some of our partner institutions are located outside the European Economic Area (EAA) and such locations may not have laws which protect your personal data to the same extent as the EAA.

How long do we keep your personal data?

We will keep your personal data for as long as you keep interacting with us, for example by visiting our website and signing onto your student account. If you do not continue to interact with us, we will remove your personal data after three years. Removed data is permanently deleted from our database.

Do you have to provide your personal data to use our services?

You are free to browse the information on our website and search for courses without providing any personal data. If you want to use our admissions counselling service, you must register for a student account and provide the personal data we ask for. Without this data, we are unable to provide professional advice or prepare applications to our partner institutions on your behalf.

Automated processing of your personal data

No decisions about your application are made using automated processing. All applications are assessed by a student advisor at before submission to our partner institutions. Our partner institutions have the final say in whether to make you an offer to study or not.

How do we contact you?

From time to time, we may use the contact data you give us to provide you with information we think is relevant to your study plans. For example, approaching deadlines, new courses or institutions, new services or relevant items of news. We will only contact you in this way if you have given permission for us to do so. If you would rather not receive this information, you can always withdraw your permission by altering the privacy settings in your student account.

How can I remove my personal data?

You can remove your personal data from our database at any time. If you want to remove your personal data, please ask your student advisor.
