About This Course
The International Foundation Year (Life Sciences) is the first stage of a Bachelor's degree at The University Of Surrey for international students who have completed Year 11 or 12 at high school in their own country1.
During this course, you will study a combination of academic modules, English language and study skills. You will study in small classes alongside other international students, with additional support to help you adjust to student life in the UK.
On successful completion of this programme, you can progress to the first year of selected Bachelor's degrees in Life Sciences, including BSc Sport & Exercise Science.
Progression is guaranteed for students who achieve the module scores required for their chosen progression degree.
Scholarships
A limited number of merit scholarships of up to £10,000 are available to international students who successfully progress from this program. The amount awarded depends on your progression degree and is subject to academic performance. It will be deducted from your first year degree tuition fees.

Completion of high school in your own country with good grades. Students who studied the UK or IB curriculum: IB 26 points; AS 24 UCAS points or A2 88 UCAS points (native language accepted). Note: IGCSE not accepted for this course.
