About This Course
This course prepares International Students for progression to degree programs in Nursing and Midwifery at The University of Surrey. Degrees are taught at The Faculty of Health & Medical Sciences, which houses a fully equipped Clinical Simulation Centre. The centre benefits from an operating theatre and wards, so students can practice real scenarios on manikins and actors. Half of your degree studies will be spent training in clinical placements.
Degree programs cover all the requirements necessary to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), enabling international students to practise in the UK after graduation.
Important: Progression to a Nursing or Midwifery degree is not guaranteed. Successful progression is subject to a personal statement and multiple mini interviews (MMI). Students who are unable to progress to nursing or midwifery will be offered an alternative life sciences program.
Scholarships
A limited number of merit scholarships of up to £5000 are available to international students who successfully progress from this program. The amount awarded is subject to academic performance and will be deducted from your first year degree tuition fees.
