About This Course

The Pre-Master's (Humanities and Social Sciences) is for international students who want to study a master's degree in the UK, but do not have the academic or English qualifications for direct entry. During the course, you will deepen your subject knowledge and develop your study & research skills to a high standard. You will also have the opportunity to improve your academic English abilities. Most students apply for progression to a master's at one of the ONCAMPUS partner colleges at The University of London. However, many have secured places at other leading universities, including Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds and Manchester.

ONCAMPUS London is located in Bloomsbury, which is at the heart of academic London. University College, SOAS, The London School of Economics and The British Museum are all nearby. The centre is housed in Birkbeck College, part of the University of London and one of the ONCAMPUS partner colleges.

The University of London is a federation of more than 25 independent colleges, including world class institutions such as Imperial College, University College (UCL) and the London School of Economics (LSE). With over 120,000 students, London is one of the largest universities in the world.

Note: For progression to Queen Mary University of London, students must study the 3 Term course. For progression to other universities, both the 2 and 3 term options are available.

Entry Requirements

Academic Successful completion of a bachelor's degree, equivalent to a UK Degree (Lower Second Class) in a related subject.
English 2 Semesters
IELTS 5.5 (5.5 each skill); Pearson PTE 51 (46 each skill); TOEFL 73 (Speaking: 19, Reading & Writing: 17, Listening 16); IGCSE English 1st Language (C) / 2nd Language (B); IB English (SL4/HL3); HKDSE 3; India HSC XII 75%; WAEC (C/6). Other qualifications may be accepted.
