About This Course
This course prepares International Students for progression to a 5-year BVMSci in Veterinary Medicine at The University of Surrey. Students benefit from a Veterinary Clinical Skills Centre and Veterinary Pathology Centre, where you can practise anaesthesia, catheterisation, dissection and more. During the final year, you will complete Clinical Intramural Rotations (IMR) under the supervision of qualified professionals. On graduation, you will have the qualifications to register with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and to practice as a veterinary surgeon.
Important: Progression to a BVMSci in Veterinary Medicine is not guaranteed. Students must submit an UCAS application by 15 October. Places are limited and successful progression is subject to assessment, which includes an interview and Situational Judgement Test. Work experience is essential to demonstrate your aptitude and commitment. Students who are unable to progress to Veterinary Medicine may be offered an alternative life sciences program, subject to academic performance.
Scholarships
A limited number of merit scholarships of up to £5000 are available to international students who successfully progress from this program. The amount awarded is subject to academic performance and will be deducted from your first year degree tuition fees.
