About This Course
The International Year One (Art & Design) is a first year degree programme at Manchester Metropolitan University for international students. It is available for selected undergraduate degrees and is specially designed for students who do not meet the standard academic or English admission requirements.
During the course, you will study a full first year curriculum, but with additional support to improve your academic and study skills. Students who do not meet the standard English requirements for Manchester Metropolitan University will also benefit from enhanced English language support.
On successful completion of this programme, you can progress directly to the second year of selected Bachelor's degrees in Art & Design, including BSc Fashion Buying & Merchandising.
Note: Students studying this course may1 benefit from a single study visa, which will be valid for the duration of the entire programme. That means you will not have to apply for a new visa when you progress from the International Year One.

Admission Requirements

Academic

Completion of high school plus 1+ year of further study, for example a University Foundation Course. Alternatively, 2-3 A Level subjects or International Baccalaureate, 48 UCAS points. AS Levels are not accepted for this course.

IELTS 5.5 (5.5 all skills) or equivalent. A wide range of alternative English qualifications is accepted for this course, including some high school English qualifications.
