About This Course

This Pre Masters prepares international students for postgraduate study in Social Sciences at a Kaplan partner university. The course is taught at Kaplan International College London and is specially designed for students who do not have the academic qualifications normally required for admission to a UK master's programme. It is also suitable for students who meet the academic requirements but need to improve their English skills before starting a master's.

During the course, you will study in a supportive learning environment alongside other international students. You will have the opportunity to deepen your subject knowledge, develop your study & research skills and improve your academic English to a high level.

On successful completion of this course, you are guaranteed progression to selected master's degrees at a Kaplan partner university, including MA Comparative Literature & Critical Theories at The University Of Birmingham.

Admission Requirements

Academic Successful completion of a bachelor's degree, equivalent to a UK Degree (3rd Class) in a related subject.
English * UKVI IELTS 5.5 (5.0 all skills) or equivalent UKVI English test.
Maximum Age Students are normally aged between 21 - 30 years. Students with a study gap of more than 5 years cannot normally be considered for this course.

*Students who do not meet the English requirements can study an extended study plan with additional English tuition. The following options are available: Extended Study Plan (2.5 Terms) Starting Jul, Oct: UKVI IELTS 5.0 (5.0 all skills); Extended Study Plan (3 Terms) Starting Jun, Sep: UKVI IELTS 5.0 (4.5 all skills).
