About This Course
The University Foundation (Life Sciences) is the first stage of a Bachelor's degree at The University Of Central Lancashire for international students who have completed Year 11 or 12 at high school in their own country1.
During this course, you will study a combination of academic modules, English language and study skills. You will study in small classes alongside other international students, with additional support to help you adjust to student life in the UK.
On successful completion of this programme, you can progress to the first year of selected Bachelor's degrees in Life Sciences, including BSc Archaeology & Anthropology.
Progression is guaranteed for students who achieve the module scores required for their chosen progression degree.

Completion of high school with good grades, equivalent to 5 IGCSE grades A* - C in relevant subjects (excluding native language).

For most programs, a minimum English level of UKVI IELTS 4.5 (4.0+ in all skills) is required (or equivalent UKVI English test).
Some programs have higher English requirements (IELTS 5.5 - 7.0), including Nursing, Medical Sciences, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy Dental Therapy and Clinical Dental Technology. Ask your advisor for further details if you are interested in these programs.
