About This Course

The Foundation Programme (Life Sciences) is the first stage of a Bachelor's degree at Loughborough University for international students who have completed Year 11 or 12 at high school in their own country¹.

During this course, you will study a combination of academic modules, English language and study skills. You will study in small classes alongside other international students, with additional support to help you adjust to student life in the UK. On successful completion of this programme, you can progress to the first year of selected Bachelor's degrees in Life Sciences, including BSc Biological Sciences. Progression is guaranteed for students who achieve the module scores required for their chosen progression degree.

Admission Requirements

Academic	Completion of high school with very good grades, equivalent to 5 IGCSE grades A-B/6-9 in relevant subjects or international equivalent. AS Level (CC) also accepted.
English *	UKVI IELTS 5.0 (5.0 all skills) or equivalent UKVI English test.
Minimum Age	Minimum age 17 years (must be 18 at start of degree).
