About This Course
The International Year One (Computing) is a first year degree programme at Keele University for international students. It is available for selected undergraduate degrees and is specially designed for students who do not meet the standard academic or English admission requirements.
During the course, you will study a full first year curriculum, but with additional support to improve your academic and study skills. Students who do not meet the standard English requirements for Keele University will also benefit from enhanced English language support.
On successful completion of this programme, you can progress directly to the second year of selected Bachelor's degrees in Computing, including BSc Computer Science (Software Engineering).
Progression is guaranteed for students who achieve the module scores required for their chosen progression degree.
Note: Students studying this course may1 benefit from a single study visa, which will be valid for the duration of the entire programme. That means you will not have to apply for a new visa when you progress from the International Year One.

Completion of high school plus at least one year of further study, for example a University Foundation Course, AS/A Levels (40 UCAS points) or IB (24 points).
