About This Course

The Undergraduate Foundation (Business & Social Sciences) is equivalent to year one of a four year bachelor's degree at The University Of Strathclyde. It offers an admission route to The University Of Strathclyde for international students who have completed Year 11/12 of high school in their own country1

During the course, you will study a full first year curriculum, but with additional support to develop your academic subject knowledge and study skills. Students who do not meet the standard English requirements for The University Of Strathclyde will also benefit from enhanced English language support.

On successful completion of this programme, you can progress to the second year of a bachelor's degree in Business & Social Sciences, including BA Finance & Business Enterprise. Progression is guaranteed for students who achieve the module scores required for their chosen progression degree.

Admission Requirements

Academic Completion of high school with good grades, equivalent to 5 IGCSE grades A* - C in relevant subjects (excluding native language).
English * UKVI IELTS 5.0 (4.5 in Writing, 4.0 all other skills) or equivalent UKVI English test.
Minimum Age Minimum age 17+ years.

*Students who do not meet the English requirements can study an extended study plan with additional English tuition. The following options are available: 10 Weeks Online English + Foundation Year Starting May: UKVI IELTS 4.5 (4.5 Writing, 4.0 all other skills).
