About This Course

The Undergraduate Foundation (Business, Economics, Finance & Management) is the first stage of a Bachelor's degree at Aston University for international students who have completed Year 11 or 12 at high school in their own country¹.

During this course, you will study a combination of academic modules, English language and study skills. You will study in small classes alongside other international students, with additional support to help you adjust to student life in the UK. On successful completion of this programme, you can progress to the first year of selected Bachelor's degrees in Business, Economics, Finance & Management, including BSc International Business & Management. Progression is guaranteed for students who achieve the module scores required for their chosen progression degree.

Note: Students studying this course may² benefit from an integrated study visa, which will be valid for the duration of the entire programme. That means you will not have to apply for a new visa when you progress to a degree.

Admission Requirements

Academic	Completion of high school with good grades, equivalent to 5 IGCSE grades A* - C or 4+ in relevant subjects (excluding native language).
English *	UKVI IELTS 4.5 (4.0 all skills), PTE UKVI 43 (43 each skill) or equivalent UKVI Secure English Language Test (SELT). Alternatively, a non-UKVI English qualification equivalent to IELTS 5.5 (5.5 all skills). A wide range of non-UKVI qualifications is accepted, including Pearson PTE 42 (42 each skill); TOEFL 73 (Speaking: 17; Reading: 12; Writing: 20; Listening 11); IGCSE English 1st/2nd Language (C); IB English (SL3/HL3); WAEC English (C/6); KCSE (C)
