About This Course

The Undergraduate Foundation (Engineering & Sciences) is the first stage of a Bachelor's degree at London South Bank University for international students who have completed Year 11 or 12 at high school in their own country¹.

During this course, you will study a combination of academic modules, English language and study skills. You will study in small classes alongside other international students, with additional support to help you adjust to student life in the UK. On successful completion of this programme, you can progress to the first year of selected Bachelor's degrees in Engineering & Sciences, including BSc Engineering Product Design. Progression is guaranteed for students who achieve the module scores required for their chosen progression degree.

Admission Requirements

Academic	Completion of high school with good grades, equivalent to 5 IGCSE grades A* - C in relevant subjects (excluding native language).
English *	UKVI IELTS 4.5 (4.0 all skills), PTE UKVI 43 (43 all skills) or equivalent UKVI Secure English Language Test (SELT). Alternatively, a non-UKVI English qualification equivalent to IELTS 5.5 (5.5 all skills). A wide range of non-UKVI qualifications is accepted, including PTE 51 (46 all skills), TOEFL 73 (Listening 16, Reading & Writing 17, Speaking 19), GCSE English 1st Language (D), 2nd language (C), WAEC (C/6).
Minimum Age	Minimum age 17 years (at start of course).
