About This Course

This International Foundation Year prepares overseas students for admission to undergraduate degrees in Business And Humanities at an NCUK Member University. The course is taught at INTO Manchester and is the first stage of an undergraduate degree for students who have completed Year 11 or 12 at high school in their own country1.

During the course, you will study a combination of academic subjects, English language and study skills. You will study in small classes alongside other international students, with additional support to help you adjust to student life in the UK.

Students studying this programme are eligible to apply for admission to selected undergraduate degrees at an NCUK Member University. Counselling will be provided by the team at INTO Manchester to help you prepare a strong application and maximise your chances of receiving an offer.

Admission Requirements

Accelerated Study Plan (2 Terms)

Academic Completion of high school with excellent grades, equivalent to 5 IGCSE grades A-B in relevant subjects (excluding native language).
English * UKVI IELTS 6.0 (6.0 all Writing) or equivalent UKVI English test.
Minimum Age Minimum age 16 years and 9 months (for September start) or 17 years for other start dates.

Standard Study Plan (3 Terms)

Academic Completion of high school with good grades, equivalent to 5 IGCSE grades A* - C in relevant subjects (excluding native language).
English * UKVI IELTS 5.5 (5.0 in Writing) or equivalent UKVI English test.
Minimum Age Minimum age 16 years and 9 months (for September start) or 17 years for other start dates.

*Students who do not meet the English requirements can study an extended study plan with additional English tuition. The following options are available: Extended Study Plan (4 Terms) Starting Jun, Sep: UKVI IELTS 5.0 (5.0 all skills).
