About This Course

This International Foundation Year prepares overseas students for admission to undergraduate degrees in Science & Engineering at an NCUK member university. The course is taught at INTO London and is the first stage of an undergraduate degree for students who have completed Year 11 or 12 at high school in their own country¹.

During the course, you will study a combination of academic subjects, English language and study skills. You will study in small classes alongside other international students, with additional support to help you adjust to student life in the UK.

Students studying this programme are eligible to apply for admission to selected undergraduate degrees at an NCUK member university. Counselling will be provided by the team at INTO London to help you prepare a strong application and maximise your chances of receiving an offer.

Admission Requirements

Academic	Completion of high school, equivalent to 4 subjects (A-D) at IGCSE in relevant subjects (excluding native language). Maths and science are required for science and engineering pathway.
English	Science & Engineering: UKVI IELTS 5.0 (5.0 Writing); Health Professions: UKVI IELTS 6.0 (6.0 Writing, 5.5 other skills); Other pathways: UKVI IELTS 4.5 (4.0 all skills). Alternative UKVI English tests accepted.
Minimum Age	Minimum age 16 years. For September starts, you must be 16 by 1 September of that year. For January starts, you must be 16 by 1 September the previous year.
