About This Course
The International First Year (Engineering) is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree at The University Of Greenwich, but with more flexible academic and English requirements. It is specially designed for international students who want to study a degree at the university, but do not quite meet the requirements for direct entry.
During the programme, you will study a first year university curriculum, but with additional support to improve your study skills and English language abilities. On successful completion of this course, you can progress directly to the second year of selected bachelor's degrees at The University Of Greenwich. That means you will complete your studies in the same amount of time as direct entry students.

Completion of high school plus one year of further study, equivalent to 80 UCAS points (e.g. AS Level CC+) or a University Foundation Course.

English level equivalent to IELTS 5.5 (5.5 in all skills). Students with lower scores will be offered a pre-sessional English course lasting 6 weeks (IELTS 5.0, 4.5 in each skill) or 12 weeks (IELTS 4.5, 4.0 in each skill).
