This section describes the documents you must submit to support a USA Student Visa application.
Supporting Documentation
When you attend your visa interview, you will need to submit ORIGINALS of the following documents:
- A valid passport;
- US Visa sized photo (2 in x 2 in);
- The confirmation page, printed from your online visa application (DS-160);
- Original form I-20 (signed);
- Form I-901 SEVIS payment receipt;
- Visa appointment confirmation and MRV (Machine Readable Visa) fee receipt;
- Financial evidence (e.g. bank statements or a financial guarantee letter from your Government) to prove you can pay your
tuition fees, accommodation and living expenses;
- University acceptance letter;
- Statement of account, showing fees paid to the university;
- Academic certificates and transcripts;
- English test certificates (if relevant);
- Resume / CV for graduate applicants;
- Any documents that are not in English must be accompanied by a certified translation;
WARNING: if you do not provide a full set of valid documents in the precise format required, your visa application may
be refused. If you are in any doubt, please contact your student advisor before attending your visa appointment!
