International Year One

The Easiest Route to a US Bachelor's Degree For International Students!

The International Year One is equivalent to the first year of a bachelor's degree, but with lower entry requirements. That means international students can begin an undergraduate degree, even without the academic or English qualifications normally required1 for direct entry to a US university.

During the course, you will study the same academic curriculum as direct entry students, but with extra support to improve your English language and study skills. Smaller class sizes mean you can spend more time with your teachers and receive individual attention, which will help you adapt quickly to academic life in the USA.

Courses start in January, May and August and take 1 - 3 semesters to complete, depending on your English level. At the end of the course, you can progress directly to the second year of your chosen degree. Alternatively, you can transfer your credits to one of more than 4,000 universities and colleges in the United States!

Why Choose This Course

  • Earn a full year of credits towards your degree, even if you don't have the academic or English qualifications normally required for direct entry to a US university.
  • Progression to year two is guaranteed for most courses, or you can transfer your credits to another US university.
  • SAT/ACT scores not required!
  • Graduate in the same amount of time as direct entry students.
  • Benefit from small class sizes, individual attention and specialist support for overseas students.
