West London College is one of London’s leading independent colleges of further education, situated in the heart of one of the world’s most exciting cities. And with over 1,000 new students each year from more than 100 countries around the world, mostly aged between 18 and 25, West London College is a truly international environment.
Courses
The college offers a range of business oriented undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Diploma, Bachelor’s and Master’s degree levels. Courses have been selected for their relevance to commerce and industry and lead to qualifications awarded by professional bodies or degrees awarded by British Universities. Students can rest assured that their education will serve them well in their future careers.
Facilities
The central London campus is split between two modern buildings: Parliament House, located on Oxford Street and Hannah House, located nearby on Baker Street. Facilities include 20 air conditioned classrooms, two computer rooms, an extensive library, a thirty terminal internet café and subsidised restaurant. There is also a new language school, which enables the college to offer language training to those who need it, either in advance of a degree programme or simultaneously.
Accommodation
Finding accommodation in London can be difficult, so West London College offers comfortable, reasonably priced hostel accommodation to all new full time students. Hostel accommodation is half board and located within easy travelling distance of campus in some of the most fashionable areas of London, including Notting Hill and Bayswater. Where possible, students who are on the same course are accommodated at the same hostel, which makes it easy for students to make friends quickly.
Welfare
The Student Welfare Team devote much of their time to the care of overseas students who have recently arrived in London. For example, this might involve helping a student to register with a doctor, find an ethnic restaurant or place to worship or assisting with student visas or opening a bank account. All in all, it is their aim to make students feel at home and to provide the administrative and pastoral support that will allow them to concentrate happily on their studies.
