Facilities
UCLan, one of the largest universities in the UK, is located on an integrated, city centre campus in Preston. Most of the university buildings are within a ten minute walk of each other and key facilities include a Media Factory, extensive library with 24/7 access, a new school of dentistry and Europe's largest 3D lecture theatre. Sports facilities include the new Sir Tom Finney Indoor Sports Centre and a £12 million Olympic standard arena.
Location
UCLan is situated in the centre of Preston, a mid-sized city in the North West of England. Preston is less than an hour from Liverpool and Manchester and there are good rail and road links to the rest of the UK, including London. The Peak District and Lake District National Parks are both nearby.
Welfare & Accommodation
Every student is assigned a personal tutor and there are regular meetings to ensure satisfactory progress. The university provides a careers and employability service called 'Futures', which helps students prepare for the graduate employment market.
Preston is one of the most affordable cities in the UK for students and the university provides low cost, residential accommodation a few minute's walk from the campus. The university can also help students find private accommodation if required.
