A levels are studied at secondary school in the UK and enable successful candidates to apply for a place at any British university, including top universities like Oxford and Cambridge. A levels are considered a 'gold standard' in the British education system and are also recognised and respected throughout the world.
Is This Course Right For You?
The standard A level course is two years long. Typically, students take four subjects in the first year, then take three of those forward into the second year. There are public examinations at the end of each year, called AS Level (first year) and A2 Level (second year). For particularly strong students, it is possible to take the course over 12 months or 18 months.
A Levels are academically demanding and are most suitable for students who want to apply to the best universities for the most competitive courses.
Entry Requirements
To apply for an A Level course, you will need a good secondary education from your own country and an English language level of at least IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
