This section lists a range of university preparation courses. These courses prepare international students for entry to UK university degree programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
University Foundation Courses, also known as International Foundation Years, prepare international students for entry to undergraduate degree programmes at UK universities. Courses are between 6 and 9 months in duration and teach a combination of academic, English language and study skills. They are designed for students who have completed senior high school in their own country, but lack the qualifications needed to apply directly to a UK university. In many cases, successful students are guaranteed a place on the undergraduate degree of their choice.
A Levels are recognised as a 'gold standard' in the British education system and allow successful students to apply to any University, including top universities like Oxford and Cambridge. They are ideal for students who have finished junior high school in their own country and want to prepare for entry to the UK's top universities. A Levels are also recognised widely at education institutions around the world.
These courses prepare international students for entry to master's degree programmes at British universities. They are suitable for students with a higher diploma or first degree from a UK or recognised international university. Most programmes provide successful students with guaranteed entry to the master's degree programme of their choice.
